Dr. Katharine Dill
Associate Professor of Social Work, Program Director for Master of Social Work Program
Bio
Katharine joined the Marist Social Work Program as Program Director on July 1, 2024. She began her tenure at 菠萝大人版约炮 C in August 2016. She was the field coordinator for 8 years and during that time, she researched and published on this topic. Katharine earned her Bachelor of Social Work from King's College, University of Western Ontario in 1988, her Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto in 1993, and a Diploma in Social Work Research from the University of Toronto in 2002.
With 16 years of experience in the child welfare sector, Katharine has worked as a front-line practitioner, supervisor, agency trainer, and project manager. She completed her doctoral studies at the Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work, University of Toronto, in 2004, and has since taught clinical, organizational, and research courses as an adjunct lecturer.
From 2007 to 2013, Katharine served as the founding Executive Director of Practice and Research Together (PART). In 2013, she embarked on a new chapter as an assistant professor (lecturer) at Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Her current research focuses on integrating service user feedback into social work education. Katharine is collaborating with Dr. Joe Duffy (Queen's University), Dr. Sabrina Sullenberger (Belmont University), and the Council on Social Work Education to develop a curriculum guide aimed at enhancing service user perspectives in competency-based social work education.
